How do I change my username?
To change your username, click on your name in the top right corner. Choose “Edit My Profile” and scroll down to the “Name” field.
How do I change my password?
To change your password, click on your name in the top right corner. Choose “Settings.” Scroll down to “General Settings” and you’ll find “Change Password.”
How do I change my email address?
To change your HalifaxMatch account email address, click on your name in the top right corner. Choose “Settings.” Scroll down to “General Settings.”
How do I edit my profile photo?
To change your HalifaxMatch profile photo, click on your name in the top right corner. Choose “Edit My Profile.” Hover mouse over your current photo and choose “Change photo.”
If I skipped filling out profile information the first time through, can I go back and fill it in later?
Yes. To go back and and update profile pieces and questions, click on your name in the top right corner. Click “Edit My Profile.”
Here you can fill out your information in the following fields: “Basics, Looking For, Characteristics, A Bit More About Me, and Lifestyle.”
Can I add photos, delete photos and change the title and description?
Yes. Click on your name in the top right corner. Choose “Edit My Profile.” Underneath your profile photo, click “Album” in the profile menu. Choose “Upload picture.”
To remove a photo in your album, click on the photo and click “Delete picture.”
To change the title of your photo, click on the photo and choose “Edit photo.” Here you can change the Picture Title and Picture Description.
Can I add music and video to my profile?
Yes. Click on your name in the top right corner. Choose “Edit My Profile.” Underneath your profile photo, click “Media” in the profile menu. Choose to upload “Photos”, “Videos” and “Music.”
To remove a media piece, click on the item and click “Delete.”
To change the title of your media, click on it and choose “Edit” Here you can change the Title and Description.
How do I hide my profile or make it visible to only members of Halifax Match?
If you would like your profile to be hidden so that nobody can see it, click on your name in the top right. Under “Settings,” choose “Profile.” Under “Visibility” choose “Only Me” or “All Members.”
How do I delete my account?
If you want to cancel your account, please understand that once it is cancelled, it cannot be reactivated. To cancel your Halifax Match account, click on your name in the top right corner. Choose “Settings.” Scroll down to “General Settings.” Click “Delete My Account.”
II. EMAIL NOTIFICATION.
How does email notification work?
You decide if you wish to receive email notification. You can elect to receive email notification whenever you receive a message from another Halifax Match member. To enable or disable email notification for messages, click on your name in the top right corner. Under “Settings,” click on “Email.” You can then toggle notifications on or off.

What if I don’t live in Halifax?
As long as you live in Nova Scotia, we’d love to have you as a Halifax Match member. Your account may be removed if you are not currently living in Nova Scotia, Canada.

3. It is not a Race – Don’t rush things. Take your time to get to know someone before you meet. Plus that makes a nice build up to the meeting, more butterflies = more fun. Try to figure out as much as possible about someone, ask too many questions.
4. The First Date – Should be in public, we suggest coffee, as we all know alcohol impairs our judgment. I know it might take the edge off, but you could also make an ass of yourself. Bring your cell phone!

How do I make sure I am never a featured member?
E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with Don’t Feature in the subject line and your username in the body.

Do I have to answer all the questions?
No. If you don’t find a question interesting or applicable, feel free to skip it. It won’t show in your profile that you didn’t answer the question. We are always adding new questions to the site to keep things fresh. When a new question is added, we’ll let you know via email or in the internal message box.
What if I forget my password?
Just sign in with your username and type in what you think your password is. If your password is incorrect, the password reminder link will appear – click on it, and follow the instructions in the middle of the screen. Or you can e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
